Join us on Saturday, December 3rd through Monday December 5th, 2022, for the special event celebrating the passage of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. We’ll be on the air for from 1200 UTC (7:00 AM Local) on December 3rd until 0500 UTC December 6 (midnight local) from Kent, OHIO on / or around 7.240 Mhz and 14.240 Mhz.

Ohio was one of the last 3 states to ratify the 21st Amendment on December 5th, 1933. The others were Pennsylvania and Utah. Utah was the 36th state to ratify the Amendment, giving it the 3/4 majority of states approval necessary to become law. Ohio and Pennsylvania had ratified the amendment earlier in the day, Utah pushed to get it done at 3:32PM (local) to beat the state of Maine to be the state that secured the passage. It was the first time in the history of the US that an Amendment to the Constitution had been repealed, and it was not done by congress, it was done by “We the People”. Once all of the last 3 states needed passed the 21st Amendment, the sale of Alcoholic Beverage in the US became legal again – immediately!
